1. Application Period
The application period for the 2026–2027 academic year is from September 1 to October 20, 2026. Applications submitted after the deadline or without complete documentation will not be accepted.
2. Eligibility
The program is open to currently enrolled students who are nationals of Taiwan and have household registration in Taiwan, excluding students who are extending their studies, on leave of absence, withdrawn from the university, dismissed from the university, or enrolled in an in-service graduate program. Applicants must also meet all of the following criteria:

The total annual interest income of the household members included in the calculation must not exceed NT$20,000 for 2025.
(3) Real estate:
The total assessed value of real estate owned by the household members included in the calculation must not exceed NT$6.5 million.
(4) Academic performance:
The applicant's average academic grade for the previous semester must be above 60 points.
3. Required Documents
(1) A signed application form for the Financial Aid Program for Students in Disadvantaged Circumstances.
(2) An original copy of the household registration transcript (戶籍謄本) issued within the past three months for all household members included in the calculation. The section containing household registration remarks must be included in full.
(3) An original transcript of academic records for the previous semester. This document is not required for newly admitted and transfer students.
4. Important Notes
(1) Students in the fifth year or above of an undergraduate program, the fifth year or above of a master's program, or the eighth year or above of a doctoral program, as well as students who have already received financial aid for the equivalent year of study at the same educational level, are not eligible to apply.
(2) Students who have already applied for any Ministry of Education tuition and miscellaneous fee reductions or exemptions or other government financial aid programs are not eligible to receive financial aid under this program.
(3) Household members included in the calculation are the student, the student's father and mother, or the student's legal guardian(s) before the student reached adulthood. For married students, the calculation includes the student and their spouse. Household income and real estate ownership will be determined based on the information verified by the Financial Data Center, Ministry of Finance.
5. Financial Aid Amount
The amount of financial aid ranges from NT$5,000 to NT$20,000, depending on the student's educational level and applicable income bracket.
